Labor Day and a Summer Cold

Leave it to me to get sick in the middle of summer while on leave. I don't know if it's just a cold or a sinus infection (some of the stuff I've been sneezing suggests the latter).

I feel like I've got this huge disgusting thing on my face and can't get rid of it. And my eyes won't stop watering. I have a headache. I just want to complain because nothing is making me feel better.

We're having a garage sale tomorrow (finally!), and it's the end of the month, so I really, really can't afford this right now! Gah!

At least I have this four-day weekend to maybe recover so when I go back to work on Tuesday I can do more than sniffle and sneeze.

Happy Labor Day Weekend everybody!

On Leave

So I decided to take leave for the rest of the month to decompress. It's been great...sleeping in both days so far just felt amazing. DH is flying today so I won't see him for quite a while, but that's okay. I feel like I got quite a bit accomplished today. I mowed both of our lots and Shawn's front lawn. I was a little scared to try and fit the Deere through his gate, so I'll have to do that tomorrow or have Kevin do it on Saturday while I'm away doing parties.

Speaking of parties, I'm super excited because I've got two business builders I'm helping out. They're both wonderful girls, and I can't wait to see them succeed! Anyway, I'm trying to figure out better ways to market myself so I can pass that on to them when the time comes, since we all exhaust our warm market eventually. I want to give them options, and I want to know what works and what doesn't.

Do any of you have suggestions or experience? I mean, really, I'm kind of clueless when it comes to the marketing side of things...

New Effort

In an effort to post to this blog at least once a week, I am going to set a reminder in my phone. Feel free to call me out on this if I go more than 8 days without posting, okay? Seriously, this is getting ridiculous.

You know, I didn't used to be like this. I actually can finish things I start. I don't know what's gotten into me lately. There's just so much going on.

Probably the biggest: I relaunched my home business in hopes of giving myself better options in the future after the Air Force. No, not Virginia Lambert Photography (that one has always been around, even in Florida)...the other one. You know, Arbonne. Yes, I'm an Arbonne consultant. I have been for a couple of years, actually, and I do have to say that all that stuff you see on the internet sites really doesn't do it justice. I've met some amazing people with this business and I've sold some product that really does what it says.

But I digress... If you really want to check it out or get information, click the image:

So onto other things...Kevin is still in training. He'll hopefully be done by the end of September, though, and at the squadron with me! It'll be nice to have more than the daily grind at work. At least we'll be able to visit each other more easily then.

My kitty, Bridgette has been very sick. We're hoping it's mostly cleared up now, but she started out with a really bad urinary/bladder/kidney/liver infection or something like that. The vet still isn't quite sure what was going on with that. Now, she's got...other issues... Let's just leave it at that, but she's just been miserable locked in the laundry room all day with no interaction with us.

Speaking of under the weather, you could say that I've been there, since I sprained my ankle on the 3rd of August. I've been on crutches since the 7th until they're sure I didn't tear anything, and let me say that those stupid things should be renamed torture devices. It wasn't so bad when I was on my medication...well, at least pain wise. Unfortunately, I was so terribly loopy and nauseous the whole time...we think I was allergic to it because of a rash that developed on my arms. Anyway, now the pain is bad...even my hands hurt.

Sorry for the complaining. I'm a little ADD tonight. Maybe I'll have something better tomorrow. :)
