So, obviously stuff has been happening at the house. I just didn't much feel the need to post about boring stuff like wiring and the like. However, I was quite bad in that I didn't even post about picking out floors...or lighting...and how I went $300 over budget on that last bit after trying very hard to trim the fat.
Okay, so after all the wiring and plumbing went in, they started insulating. I made sure to keep a fair distance during that time frame because I've had a few run ins with insulation and it mostly ended in a nice long shower to stop the itching. So that, coupled with the fact that I have been working odd hours the past week and now this one means that pictures also were hard to come by anyway. Here's what I got in that area...
Sheet rock went up on Friday of last week. As for the outside, the bricks started to go up on Thursday. They continued the brick on Friday and today and the stone is officially in, too, so I can now see the two colors side by side...and possibly even on the same building by tomorrow. It's a beautiful hue of gray that I think will go so nicely with the red of the brick while bringing out the dark mortar and other dark tones on the house itself. I just hope I didn't completely screw up the colors...We shall see.
So, without further ado, here are the pictures of the house from today:
