Okay, so obviously, it's been a while since I posted. A variety of factors caused this...training got a little weird in that I was working late for almost three weeks straight and would come home after dark or just after the sub-contractors had already locked up the house. That actually wasn't initially a problem, but then they installed the garage doors, so if there's no one in the house, I have to either resort to taking pictures through the window or not at all.
Of course, the translation here is that you are about to be assaulted by A LOT of pictures. I have organized them by day below.
So first, we have the December 3rd interior photos:
Okay, so as you can tell, I missed a lot of stuff since the doors were locked when no one was there. They still haven't put a code on the door so I'm locked out unless I time it just right. I also went away for a week with the hubby to visit his family in California, so I missed some progress. It's not nearly as far along as it should be. Peeking in through the windows yesterday (crunching around in the snow this area got twice this past twice week), we saw most of the trim work is done. The cabinets are built, but they don't have doors. They haven't started the fireplace trim yet. The only other thing we could make out is one of the banisters lying on the stairs ready to go on the brackets this coming week.
I don't know if I mentioned before, but we were originally set to close on the 31st...so tomorrow. All this time, both of us have been asking Kirby, "Are you sure? Are you sure?" and until last week he said it was on track. They were set back by the electric company taking its sweet time as well as cabinet doors not coming in when they were supposed to. We talked to Amy, our realtor, today, and apparently the house won't be ready for appraisal until sometime between the 10th and the 18th of January. That means we won't be able to close until around the 25th.
I have to say I'm quite disappointed at the delay. I was hoping to be in the house for the New Year. I'm ready to move in. If only the house felt the same, huh?
Remember, we were supposed to close on the 31st, but they haven't even poured the driveway yet.

So first, we have the December 3rd interior photos:
December 4th, they started putting the rock on the house...
December 5th: finished putting rock up and started on the mailbox.
December 6th: All cleaned up outside and completed mailbox.
December 13th and 18th: Spackling/texturing, tile work, and starting on trim work.
