Diary of a Crazy Redhead

I was just updating Twitter when I realized I hadn't made my way over here in a while. I'm really bad at this... It really does take 30 days to make a habit. I can attest to that...my hubby and I are doing a 30 day challenge to keep the bed made and the bedroom tidied up...we've missed 6 days so far, but we're 25 days in, so at least we're starting to get there, right? Same with starting up my skincare regime again...that was a losing battle at first, but I got it...with the occasional exception of falling asleep before washing my face at night (although my new Genius has helped keep that from happening) or waking up only to find that the training I thought started at 9 actually started at 8 and forgetting...

Ah, what an interesting week.

How, you ask? Where shall I begin?

Kevin's parents came by on their way to Branson over the weekend. We went to the fair. They're supposed to come back this weekend and I have no idea what to do to entertain them. I suppose we'll figure it out...Do any of you have a suggestion where to take the in-laws in the OKC Metro area? They're from California, if that helps.

On Sunday, we went to the fair... This is a new record for me. I don't think I've gone to the State Fair so frequently in one year. It was fun though...riding the carnival rides and getting sunburned. We went with a couple friends I'd been thinking of introducing for a while...and they got along a lot better than I even imagined. For anyone who knows me, I am not a matchmaker. The few times in my life I've tried anything close, it...well, it just hasn't gone well. But I digress...my bottom line with them was I thought they'd make good friends. Looks like I was definitely right on that count. Before I embarass them anymore, I'll move on... ;-)

...Let's see...

...

Oh, I almost completely forgot I had an Ultimate In Home Party in Norman on Saturday! I went with Arbonne's nutrition line and just had a complete blast meeting some great networkers in the area. We'll definitely have to do it again sometime! For anyone who's interested in seeing what we have, especially for the holidays, I've got it all and am completely open to treating you to a personal meet the products at my house! Just give me a call or email or whatever works best for you. Aside from that, I've got the Mommy and Me Shopping Spree coming up at the Biltmore Hotel in Oklahoma City next Sunday, the 6th of October from 2-6pm. Check it out! Tell your friends! It's going to be exciting!

But anywho...I just wanted to drop a word to let you know what's going on... Until next time!

Indian Summer

Okay, so you have my permission to slap me.

Or however you say that.

I'm trying okay? Sometimes I forget...maybe I should set a reminder on my phone? I don't know...

Anyway, I thought now might be a good time to give you a rundown about life these days.

First of all, I just want to shout from the rooftops that:

I AM A DISTRICT MANAGER IN ARBONNE INTERNATIONAL!!!!

Loud enough for you? Good. I made it! I finally made it. Here's to a bright future for my team, my upline, and everyone else I meet along the way! I'm going to be an Area Manager by the end of the year, and be smelling the leather of the white Mercedes I'll be getting next year!

There, I've said it. Now all of you know, and I will have to meet that goal or disappoint myself and all of you. That being said (shameless plug), if you'd like to learn more about Arbonne, hop on over to sweetfreedom.myarbonne.com and fill out the form at the bottom of the page, give me a call, or email me. I'd love to share my experience!

Also, I just received all of my holiday line and have set it up in my dining room for anyone who chooses to come take a look, so let me know if that's something you'd be open to doing!

Holiday Display, Phase II
Moving on, it's been quite warm here for September--in the 90s almost every day, in fact. Yeah, I know, not as warm as it has been the past few years, but wow...it's hot. I can't wait for the crisp, cool autumn air. I've already put out a fall wreath, I'm so excited for the changing weather.

Of course, it being September, Kevin and I took a trip up to the State Fair last weekend with my parents. I won 5th place with that little blue end table I refinished and antiqued. Not bad, considering it's my first year entering in that category. My mom entered her Bargellow into the Fair this year, as well, and won 4th! I'm so proud of her. I can't wait to see what else she'll win if she keeps entering every year.

So my parents visited last weekend, and Kevin's parents are coming in on their way to Branson from California this weekend. It's certainly a full month! I have something every weekend, but I'm not complaining! It beats being bored. Speaking of not being bored, Kevin is finally finishing the rock path in the front yard that we started in the spring. It should be finished by tomorrow, actually. I'll be sure to take a picture if you'll promise to ignore the mess the front flowerbed is with the bermuda grass we can't seem to kill or prevent. I spent 5 hours weeding this tiny little corner of the flowerbed on Sunday only to lose daylight and barely make a dent!
Bermuda grass, bermuda grass, you are such a pain in my ass.
I think that's it...I'll probably realize later that I forgot something, but I go on crew rest in a few minutes, so I kind of need to wrap this up anyway. Until next time!
